Woah! That is quite the look! Not the look I’d go for, but a look on that Dai hatsu. Is the Jimmy the same owner?

I decided to look into the Daihatsu Midget 2 as one of the many it’d be neat to have someday vehicles. The translated site I found with some for sale clearly had me in mind. They described the cargo area dimensions as “sufficient to transport 6 boxes of beer.” Is a Japanese box of beer a case or do I need a conversion factor.
The top speed is listed as 73mph so theoretically I could drive it to work. The 32sec 0-60 time might make the highway merge interesting though.

That Midget is awesome! Not quite the style I’d go with, but awesome!
I once saw one for sale that was done up in drab military desert ‘beige’ with faux military stenciling on it....no stupid mudguards or chunky tires or anything....just the faux paintjob, but it looked really cool. I almost want one to do that to.
After I import the FIAT 126p, I want to import a Piaggio Ape at some point once they are legal here in Nova Scotia and I’ve toyed with giving one of those a faux mi
litary paint look for fun :P

I’m no expert in beer case sizes, and especially foreign beer case sizes. The bed size appears to be reported online to be 47" long x 46" wide. Based on a box for a 24 pack of 12 oz bottles I have laying around (~11" X 17"), a rough estimate of 8 cases would be able to fit.
I do question the greyhound compatibility of the Midget, however... In fact, based on what I’ve found for 0-70 k ph times, they may get where they want to go faster on their own! And be more comfortable!
